Interrupting Bias in Your Legal Practice and in Our Profession 

This program provides practical instruction on recognizing bias within the legal profession and how it impacts decision-making.  From attitudes to communication to behaviors in the practice of law, biases can negatively impact client outcomes and workplace relationships by skewing attorneys’ perceptions and beliefs. This program will incorporate the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct and how bias can potentially lead to violations.

Attendees will learn:

• How to identify common biases;
• How bias develop and why they exist;
• Why it’s important to increase our awareness of bias; and 
• The science behind bias and how to disrupt it within their firms, practices and organizations.
